I was looking for a plant moisture sensor as a gift for my boyfriend. I saw many of them, but they all seemed inaccurate or of poor quality reading reviews and very bad looking. So, I broadened my search and came across Willow.

I was immediately captivated by the attention to detail on their website, the fact that it started as a Kickstarter project, won an award, and was even presented at IFA Berlin last year. Willow isn't just another sensor; it doesn't just measure moisture, it measures the "mood" of your plants. It tells you if they are happy or sad, literally using smiley faces on the pot itself within the app. It notifies you if they need water, more or less light, or fertilizer. It identifies your plants with an accurate algorythm and gives professional advice to help them thrive. Plus, it adds a touch of irony, giving the plants a personality if you choose for the "sassy" notifications.

I live in Italy and the parcel arrived intact; the packaging is very lovely, the setup was quick and intuitive, and the app works really well. I am very satisfied with my purchase and I truly hope it becomes available on Amazon soon to make shipping faster and more affordable.

One last mention for the customer support: they always reply within 24 hours, for whatever problem or doubt you may have, both on Instagram and via email, and they are consistently kind and helpful.

Willow popped up on my Instagram feed a few times and after checking out the posts and website, thought I'd buy some sensors. I've always been the one who can't keep houseplants alive so gave up having any. Now I have 8 sensors and even more plants. They all look healthy. Willow is fun, informative, and such a clever idea. I love the humorous remarks. My snake plant can be a bit bossy though! The only improvement would be if it recognised that night time is supposed to be dark. Keep up the humorous comments. I'm off to order more sensors!

We bought the is pack to take all the guesswork out of caring for our indoor plants. Could not be happier. They are thriving.

Knowing how the plants are "feeling" is so handy. Making sure we locate them in a great spot indoors and making sure we keep the water level right is so much easier with this product.

Going to get some more soon as we have been more confident to get more indoor plants now we aren't killing them all haha.

I love how easy this device makes plant care. And it feels like my babies talk to me. It has totally changed the way I water them for the better and my plants seem so much healthier. The only drawback is the light sensor, bushy larger plants mean the sensor is under the leaves and so the light readings are useles, I'm not sure there is even a way to fix this for larger plants but I've purchased a separate light meter and now have not all worked out

Useful for knowing when my plant needs watering (as well as temp/feeding etc), however I've found that it alerts me every day asking me whether it's in a dark hallway... it's actually placed 4ft away from a south facing window and gets at least 2 hours of direct sunlight a day...

Absolutely love my Willow Sensors ♥️ I'm slightly addicted! Brought 3 thinking it would be enough...it wasn't 😝 Back to Bunnings for 2 Urban Jungle packs! Customer service is outstanding. I had a problem with my Hub connection ( it was me!) so emailed customer service and they had me back online in a day. Vera even checked in to see everything was ok afterwards. My plants are thriving and I now have plant selection confidence. Great product 🌟

Works well, I can no longer forget about my plants as the Willow sensors tell me by notifying my phone when my plants need to be watered or something else like need more sunlight. Highly recommend.

These are great. I've stopped killing every plant that enters my home. I've had a problem with one sensor upon arrival and six months later with the hub but customer service was amazing. They were replaced with new ones via express post immediately. My only negative is that I bought them thinking that I'd be able to monitor the health of my plants over time but that was not the case you can only Access Live readings which is not very useful if you are busy. Many people communicated a wish to access past data and indeed they brought out this function but unfortunately it can only be accessed through a paid subscription to the app. Considering the price of these devices I would have thought this would be a free function and am most disappointed.

Received the Starter Pack as a gift over Christmas and I'm loving it! I've already learnt so much about my plant and it is thriving (even through this hot summer ☀️). Will definitely be expanding my collection!

Hooley dooley. this little guy is a gamechanger for my sad and On Their Way Out little desk plant. 🤩 Ended up gifting everyone in the office a pack for their Secret Santa i loved it that much!

When deciding to buy my sensors and hub I was calculating the cost of these sensors vs a typical moisture metre and weighing up the cost vs benefits. When taking into consideration that these sensors measure moisture, humidity, light, AND temperature I was already convinced - but what really sold it was the integration with the hub, app, and consistent 24/7 monitoring of all parameters giving you a regularly updated score on how happy each plant is. Honestly it's a game changer. After using them for about 2 weeks now I no longer know what I would do without them! Making this change in spring I have already noticed that my plants are happier and putting out more and larger growth then ever. It even alerted me when my Tineke wasn't getting any light because a housemate closed the blinds on it!
I am a sucker for details also - so the beautiful packaging and the fact the hub uses USB, along with everything else, was enough to blow away my expectations.
10/10 I've already started raving about Willow to everyone I know and I'll be picking up more sensors for the rest of my collection soon enough!

I love my plants but I never trust myself to not over/under water! Having an app tell me exactly when my species of plant is getting too dry (and also tell me if I did, in fact, water it enough) has been great! I also didn't realise my philodendron wanted more light than it was getting - she's been moved and now she is looking spectacular. This has saved me a lot of time and stress and my space is looking better than ever!

Batteries went dead within a day

These sensors are a game changer. Plants that I've had a while, but now changed the conditions of based on the sensor feedback are putting out more new growth than ever. Instead of throwing out dead houseplants, I'm buying bigger pots, growlights and specialist soil mixes. I was never able to keep string of pearls or turtles alive before, and with the sensors I have them thriving.

You do need to apply common sense too; my hope plant asked to be watered yesterday but the pot was reasonably heavy and the surface damp so I just repositioned the sensor; moisture reading jumped from 17% to 68%. But I don't have to track the super specific needs of every plant in the house (and there are a lot) or set reminders for feeding schedules etc because the app suggests all of that for me.

One of the best technological products out there that really works! The subscription option is a great plus but not necessary. For those of us who are serial plant killers, this is definitely a must have.

I've been using the Willow AU Urban Jungle product for my bonsai trees, and it has honestly made caring for them so much easier. Bonsai can be quite particular, and this product really takes the guesswork out of knowing what they need.

Since adding it to my routine, I've noticed healthier growth, deeper green foliage, and overall stronger trees. It's reassuring to use something that feels balanced and safe for delicate bonsai root systems. I no longer worry about whether I'm over- or under-doing it — it just works.

It's simple to apply and has quickly become a staple in my bonsai care routine. Highly recommend for anyone who wants thriving bonsai without the stress of trial and error!

After years and years of sad, droopy leaves, my plants are thriving. Hands down one of the best purchases I've ever made.

I'm a beginner when it comes to becoming a house plant parent and can honestly say this tool has really helped me understand what my plants want. The sensor set up was a little hit and miss but I think that was more me rather than the product. If you really want to cut out the guess work to understand what your plants are saying, I would really recommend giving willow a try.
